Telekom application (OneApp)

We have had a continuous cooperation with Magyar Telekom since 1998, in the past 25 years we have worked together on numerous development tasks, thus contributing to the development of the Telekom webshop and their internal administration system.


In 2011, we saw the business opportunity with which we approached Magyar Telekom in the same year. We presented them the idea of a self-service mobile application that offers users a flexible and modern solution for their administration on three platforms (Android, iOS, Windows). All of this was unique at the time, since there was no such application in Deutsche Telekom’s network, but even when examining the competition, we only saw “initiatives” for applications of such complexity and for such a broad user base.


Delivery of an end-to-end solution that builds on the available Telekom systems and takes their limitations into account. Our task was very complex and presented our expert colleagues with extremely difficult technological challenges in the domestic context.

Our most important tasks and competencies used during the project:

  • business analysis
  • architecture design
  • high- and low-level solution design
  • frontend and backend implementation
  • database migration
  • manual and automatic testing
  • management of a high degree of system integration
  • continuous monitoring and performance optimization
  • L2-L3 operational support (24/7)


A self-service application in which customers can manage their affairs quickly and easily – with just two clicks. The development brought many advantages not only for 12 the customers, but also for the company, for example, the amount of invoice debts and the pressure on Telekom’s back-office staff was significantly reduced. The application continuously offers personalized additional services that can be purchased with one click – which also has a positive effect on increasing sales volume.

Hungary was the first of the international Telekom Group to create such a mobile application.
The success of the development is shown, among other things, by the fact that the company declared OneApp an “extremely important application” in 2018, and our development also provided the inspiration and basis for Deutsche Telekom’s international central application.

In the first years of the product life cycle, our solutions were delivered in a waterfall 
model, but from 2016, our team of 12 people delivered the developments in agile cooperation with Magyar Telekom’s Product Owner and Scrum Master. Based on the feedback, we worked on the MVP version with rapid developments, and the functions were continuously expanded. Our colleagues worked in two (6-7 people) Scrum teams, their work was supported 1-1 by our solution architect colleague from the PO Team during the preparation and implementation phase.

Our partner’s market-leading nature and the market characteristics of the Telco sector resulted in an impulsive load in which the system we developed had to serve a user base of several million without errors, quickly and strengthen the international
brand within a few days.

The most significant functions of the application:

  • residential and small business account payments
  • fee package and service management
  • network error reporting and tracking
  • balance inquiry – additional service purchase
  • personalized offers and personalized notifications

Our team is currently supporting the development of the application. Together with Telekom colleagues, our architects and backend system developers work as an outsourced solution team every day to implement the solutions developed by Deutsche Telekom for the multi-million user base, taking into account domestic system capabilities, market characteristics and the interests of Magyar Telekom.
